How ACCESS Can Help
ACCESS offers financial assistance to support with the cost of your appointment or telehealth care.

ACCESS offers support for long-distance travel, including flights, ground transportation (like bus or train), gas assistance, and rideshare.

ACCESS has a network of trained and vetted volunteers across California who provide rides to and from appointments in their own vehicles. This is an option for callers who may be receiving sedation and must be accompanied by someone.
ACCESS offers lodging assistance, such as hotel bookings, for people who are traveling for their reproductive or sexual health care appointments.

For abortion and other reproductive health care, INeedAnA.com or Abortionfinder.org are great tools to find clinics anywhere in the United States. All you need is your zip code, age, and an estimate of the first date of your last menstrual period.
Bedsider.org also provides a directory of healthcare providers who offer services for birth control, STI testing, Pap smear, and other reproductive healthcare.
Many providers in California offer telehealth medication abortion services. INeedAn.com and Plan C provide comprehensive lists. Abortion on Demand, FPA Women’s Health Telehealth, HeyJane, Luna Flow Health, and Twentyeight Health accept funding from ACCESS.
ACCESS is open Monday through Friday, 10 am to 4 pm Pacific Time. As a small team, our response time fluctuates with our call volume. We do our best to respond within 1 to 3 business days. We will make two attempts to contact you using the preferred contact method you share in your support request form or voicemail.
A good place to start is with your healthcare provider. Ask your healthcare provider if they offer any financial assistance like grants, discounts, or sliding scale fees. They may also be able to screen you for Medi-Cal program eligibility. The National Abortion Federation offers funding for those who qualify at specific partner clinics only. You can see a list of their California clinic partners here. The National Network of Abortion Funds has a directory of all abortion funds, that includes service region and types of support offered.
